Zany, quirky and charming. This is what childrens' movies are all about. Stop-motion animation at it's finest.
Best #4 - The Hunger Games
The first blockbuster of the year starts the year off right. It's dangerous, suspenseful and leaves you "hungry" for more.
Best #3 - 21 Jump Street
So far the best comedy of 2012. Although a remake, it sets itself apart from the TV Show and makes Tatum seem watchable.
Best #2 - The Artist
It won best picture so that means its a dumpy art house pic right? WRONG! Simple storytelling and beautifully directed. Makes you wish for the golden age of films again.
Best #1 - The Avengers
Slow to start but one of the best viewing experiences of my life. 3D is perfect and every character is handled the same way. HEART THUMPING that will leave you Thor I mean sore.
Worst #5 - Wrath of the Titans
First 20 minutes are great then it turns into a crummy bad action film with hasty editing and undeveloped characters leaving it unmemorable.
Worst #4 - Red Tails
A slap in the face to the Tuskegee Airmen, this film has great CGI but that's it. Hammy acting all around, horrible pacing and plot holes the size of Texas. Stay home Lucas!
Worst #3 - Joyful Noise
Dreadful Sigh should've been the real name. Awkward scenes and terrible editing. They sing whole songs and during that nothing goes anywhere leaving it dead in the water.
Worst #2 - Battleship
A hollow shell of a blockbuster. Hits on every Hollywood cliche to where you know when and what's going to happen. No wonder it was a dud at the Box Office.
Worst #1 - Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked
This is what is wrong with Childrens' films now. Bland storytelling, annoying characters (& especially songs). Like I said "this movie is a bunch of loud angry colors that makes your brain want to puke."
Note that I did not watch every film ever made in 2012 so far. So if "your film" is not on the list it probably wasn't worth watching. JK but if you have questions e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
