IDS Director Walker receives Outstanding Achievement Award | People

Dr. Royal P. Walker, Jr., executive director of The University of Southern Mississippi Institute for Disability Studies, has received the 2012 Outstanding Achievement Award presented by the Association of University Centers on Disabilities.

The Outstanding Achievement Award recognizes an executive faculty or staff member who has demonstrated excellence in three major areas of the fields of teaching, scholarship and service to the wider community. Walker received the award during AUCD’s 2012 conference held last month in Washington, D.C.
