Ballet Magnificat! Debuts Most Incredible Christmas on the Saenger Stage | Arts & Culture

Debuting for audiences on the stage of the Historic Saenger Theater in Downtown Hattiesburg, Ballet Magnificat! will present its new and original production of the Most Incredible Christmas on December 1 at 7 p.m. This never-before-seen production will inspire audiences of all ages through a full-length, awe-inspiring ballet choreographed by Kathy Thibodeaux, a silver medalist in the International Ballet Competition.

Most Incredible Christmas is a Broadway-style contemporary ballet that tells the story of a town’s contest to find the most extraordinary and incredible thing about the Christmas season. Contest participants will entertain the audience with songs and traditions that embrace the spirit of the season, as well as, with thought-provoking reflections on the very first Christmas. Set to heartwarming, familiar Christmas tunes from around the world, audience members will be uplifted by favorites such as “Winter Wonderland,” “Sleigh Ride” and “Joy To The World” as they join in with the celebration of Emmanuel – God with us!

Founded in 1986 in Jackson, Mississippi, Ballet Magnificat! is recognized as the nation’s Premiere Christian Ballet Company. In its 25th year, Ballet Magnificat! has performed nationally and internationally in front of audiences in more than 25 countries, including the United States, Czech Republic, Canada, France, Italy, Switzerland, Korea, Philippines, China and more. Headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi, Ballet Magnificat! features dancers and teachers who share the vision to pursue excellence in the arts through its School of the Arts, established in 1989.

Ballet Magnificat! is no stranger to the Saenger Theater stage, as the Company presented A Christmas Dream to a sold-out audience in December 2010.
