University Forum Series to feature Actor/Author Rick Lenz Oct. 23 | Arts & Culture

The University of Southern Mississippi will welcome film and television actor and author Rick Lenz as part of the Honors Forum series Oct. 23 at 6:30 p.m. The event, hosted by the College of Arts and Letters and Honors College, will be held in room 103 of the Trent Lott Center on the Hattiesburg campus.

In his lecture, “The Mixed Joys of Show Business,” Lenz will discuss his first book, “North of Hollywood,” which is a compelling autobiography detailing one of the busiest acting careers of the late 20th century.  He is also currently finishing a novel titled Redeeming Norma Jean.

“We’re delighted to have Rick Lenz speak to our students,” said Dr. David Davies, Dean of the Honor College. “We expect his account of the lessons he learned from Hollywood to offer a fascinating perspective to our students.”
